Spring Chaperones

It’s easy to overlook alliums, the universally known plant family that calls the onion their leader. A staple year-round, their presence seems a bit unceremonious, their seasonality seldom considered. But as springs early sun begets the first signs of abundant harvest, alliums are its delicious chaperones. Forget their workhorse status in the kitchen for now; young alliums are something all together different.
